Preface: While working as a special teacher for deaf children in rural areas who are deprived from taking education because there is no special school and there is no education facility. Shri Subhash Katyarmal Sir realized this and started a school for the mentally challenged children at Sevdham Maitimand resident school in Koregaon Bhima from 2005 free of cost to such students, with government permission. 

Looking at the difficulty of land acquisition, Shri Prakashji Dhoka  Saheb helped through Chandrakrash Foundation to build a spacious building at Pimple Jagtap which helped in the educational development of these special children. This helped in bringing special children to the mainstream of education and making them self-reliant and rehabilitating them for the empowerment of children. The organization's main objective is to develop their dormant qualities and join them in the main stream of the society without seeing the handicap of persons with disabilities.

Special education: Disabled children can not take education with normal children due to severe disability. Special services are provided to children with special needs through Sevdham. Each student is trained by special teachers as per his intellectual capacity. Through psychotherapy, therapist, physiological and psychological development is done through the problems faced by the children and on the basis of their treatment, every day, yoga, pranayama, meditation, exercises are taken and participated in festival festivals and games.

Health: Good nutrition and vitamin content are provided to keep children's health better. Personal hygiene of children is addressed. Parental guidance is provided to children about their health. In order to prevent disability, disability prevention programs are implemented by Sevdham. Children are regularly checked for medical reasons.

प्रस्तावना : ग्रामीण भागात कर्णबधिर मुलांसाठी विशेष शिक्षक म्हणुन कार्यरत असताना ग्रामीण भागातील मतिमंद मुले विशेष शाळा व शिक्षणाची सोय नसल्यामुळे शिक्षण घेण्यापासुन वंचित राहत होते हि जाणीव श्री सुभाष कटयारमल सरांनी लक्षात घेऊन सेवाधाम मतिमंद निवासी विद्यालयाची वाडापुनर्वसन कोरेगाव भीमा या ठिकाणी सन 2005 पासून शासनाच्या परवानगीने मतिमंद मुलांसाठी निवासी विशेष शाळा सुरू केली. श्री. कटयारमल सरांनी स्वत: पदरमोड करित शाळातील सर्व मुलांना विनामुल्य शिक्षण भोजन व निवासाची सोय सेवाधाम च्या माध्यमातून उपलब्ध करून दिली.

सेवाधाम ला जागेची येणारी अडचण पाहून मा. प्रकाशजी धोका साहेब यांनी चंद्रप्रकाश फौंडेशन च्या माध्यमातून पिंपळे जगताप येथे जागा घेद्वन प्रशस्त अशी इमारत बांधून देद्वन विशेष मुलांच्या शैक्षणिक विकासास मोठे सहाय्य केले . विशेष मुलांना शिक्षणाच्या मुख्य प्रवाहात आणून या मुलांना संस्कारमय शिक्षण देद्वन त्यांना स्वावलंबी बनविणे व त्यांचे पुनर्वसन करणे . अपंग व्यक्तींच्या अपंगत्वाकडे न पाहता त्यांच्यामध्ये असलेल्या सामथ्र्याकडे पाहून त्यांच्यातील सुप्त गुण विकसीत करून त्यांना समाजाच्या मुख्य प्रवाहात सामील करणे हाच संस्थेचा मुख्य उददेश आहे .

 विशेष शिक्षण :  अपंग मुलांना अतितीव्र अपंगत्वामुळे सर्वसामान्य मुलांबरोबर शिक्षण घेता येत नाही.  सेवाधाम च्या माध्यमातून विशेष गरजा असणा­या मुलांना विशेष शिक्षण दिले जाते.  प्रत्येक विद्याथ्र्यास त्याच्या बौध्दीक क्षमतेनुसार विशेष शिक्षकादवारे शिक्षण दिले जाते.  मानसोपचार तज्ञ, थेरपीस्ट यांच्या माध्यमातून मुलांना येणा­या अडचणी व त्यावरील उपचार हयातून शारीरिक व मानसिक विकास केला जातो तसेच दररोज योग, प्राणायाम, ध्यानधारणा, व्यायाम करून घेतले जातात व सण उत्सव, कला­क्रिडा यामध्ये सहभागी करून घेतले जाते. 

आरोग्य : मुलांचे आरोग्य चांगले राहण्यासाठी त्यांना उत्तम पोषण आहार व जीवनसत्वयुक्त पदार्थ दिले जातात . मुलांच्या वैयक्तीक स्वच्छतेकडे लक्ष दिले जाते. मुलांच्या आरोग्या विषयी पालकांना मार्गदर्शन केले जाते. अपंगत्व येद्व नये यासाठी अपंगत्व प्रतिबंधात्मक जनजागॄती कार्यक्रम सेवाधाम मार्फत राबविले जातात. मुलांची नियमीतपणे वैद्यकीय तपासणी केली जाते.
